Jennifer Lopez makes her big screen return this month in odd-ball rom-com The Back-up Plan. J-Lo stars opposite token hunk Alex O’Loughlin as a woman who falls for Mr Right at the same time as falling pregnant via artificial insemination. Needless to say that the scene is perfectly set for that winning combination of light laughs, pop-psychology soul searching and a mushy ending that fans of the genre seem to never get enough of.
